Context
Hòn Rỏi and Rạch Vẹm are two pristine, rustic fishing-village settings on opposite sides of Phú Quốc Island. Both retain a secluded character with limited commercialization, surrounded by clear waters, rich coral ecosystems and aquaculture or pearl-farming rafts.
Challenge
Tourism development was planned beneath the forest canopy, concentrating construction on clearings and sparse forest areas. Overall site coverage was kept low (maximum 25%), with lightweight materials prioritized to protect vegetation and the pristine landscape.
The team's role
For Hòn Rỏi, led the work from concept through preparation and quality control of the 1:500 Detailed Planning dossier. For Rạch Vẹm, coordinated directly with the international partner, delivered bilingual presentations, and prepared and quality-controlled the 1:500 Detailed Planning dossier.
Result
Project approved in 2017.
