Context
Under national education and training policy, the Government set out to develop the VNU-HCM campus as a modern “University City.” Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam National University Hanoi are the country’s two national universities, with a mandate to train high-quality human resources for industrialization and modernization.
Challenge
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is a member university of VNU-HCM and one of its core institutions, capable of training high-quality human resources for southern Vietnam. The 2004 plan had also become outdated, as student capacity increased from 5,000 to 11,500—more than doubling.
The team's role
In collaboration with ATEK to develop the concept and prepare the 1:500 Detailed Planning dossier.
Result
The project concept was presented to local authorities and received positive feedback.
